🏫 8. Sınıf İngilizce: There is / There are Kullanımı
İngilizcede bir şeyin varlığını belirtirken "there is" ve "there are" yapılarını kullanırız. Bu yapılar, Türkçedeki "var" anlamına gelir. Ancak, hangi yapıyı kullanacağımız, bahsettiğimiz şeyin tekil mi yoksa çoğul mu olduğuna bağlıdır.
💡 There is Kullanımı
There is, tekil isimlerle veya sayılamayan isimlerle kullanılır. Yani, bir tane olan veya sayılamayan şeyler için "there is" deriz.
- 🍎 Örnek 1: There is a book on the table. (Masada bir kitap var.)
- 💧 Örnek 2: There is some water in the glass. (Bardakta biraz su var.)
Kısaltması: "There is" ifadesini "There's" şeklinde kısaltabiliriz. Örneğin: "There's a cat in the garden." (Bahçede bir kedi var.)
🎈 There are Kullanımı
There are, çoğul isimlerle kullanılır. Yani, birden fazla olan şeyler için "there are" deriz.
